Touchscreen test

Swipe over the grid until every cell is filled. A cell that will not fill points to a dead zone.

How to run the test

  1. Press Full screen to test right up to the edges.
  2. In Fill the grid mode, slowly swipe across the whole screen. Every cell your finger passes over fills with color.
  3. If a cell refuses to fill, tap that spot several times and check whether a screen protector or case edge is in the way.
  4. In Free draw mode, slowly draw straight lines to find places where the line breaks or jumps.

Swipes that start at the very edge may be taken by your system for back or notification gestures. Fill edge cells by swiping from the inside outward.

Multi-touch

Put several fingers down at once and a numbered circle appears under each one, while Max at once records the highest count. Device supports is the number your browser reports. Fingers placed very close together may register as one.

Pen input

With a stylus, pressure and tilt appear below the test area, and in Free draw the line width follows pressure. These values only appear when both the pen and the browser support them.

FAQ

Can I use a mouse?
Yes, dragging with a mouse fills cells too, but you need a finger to find touch problems.
Max at once is lower than Device supports.
Spread your fingers further apart and press firmly. Your system may also claim gestures with three or more fingers before the page sees them.
What happens if I rotate the screen?
If the number of cells changes, progress starts over. Lock the screen orientation while you test.
